Name boards with advertisements send misinformation to public, states the DGP
Coimbatore: The Director General of Police, Sylendra Babu issued orders on Friday to remove all the name boards in some police stations that contain advertisements and replace them with boards of the Police Department.
The presence of advertisements in some police stations in Tamil Nadu has been reportedly misunderstood by the public and hence DGP Sylendra Babu has issued orders that all police station name boards should not have the names of the advertiser.Only the name of the police station shall be placed. If there are any advertisements, it should be removed immediately and a new name board has been ordered to be placed.
