Following the announcement of Thanthai Periyar's birth anniversary as Social Justice Day, Govt. department officials and staff led by Coimbatore District Collector took the oath on the occasion of his 143rd birth anniversary.
Coimbatore: Following Chief Minister M K Stalin's announcement, Social Justice Day was celebrated on Friday in honour of Thanthai Periyar's birth anniversary at all District Collectorates and Government offices across Tamil Nadu.
As part of this, under the leadership of Coimbatore District Collector G S Sameeran, all Government department officials and civil servants took a pledge to implement social justice.
Coimbatore District Collector G S Sameeran read out the pledges of Social Justice Day and several Government employees gathered to take the pledge.
Government employees on this Social Justice Day pledged that they would surrender themselves to the principles of equality and fraternity and commit to continue this journey of building a society based on social justice, to ensure humanity and communal harmony.
