The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, M K Stalin announced that Thanthai Periyar's birth anniversary will be observed as Social Justice Day.
Tirupur: The Government of Tamil Nadu is observing Thanthai Periyar's birth anniversary as Social Justice Day as per the orders of the TN Chief Minister. Government employees across the State have been instructed to take the Social Justice Day Pledge in all Government offices.
Governor Ramalingam read out the following pledge at the Udumalai Tahsildhar's office on Friday.
Social Justice Day Pledge!
I will treat all as my kin and all living beings with kindness and follow this as my way of life.
I will act based on self-esteem and rationality!
I will surrender myself to the principles of equality, fraternity, and justice
I will act with compassion and humanity and continue my journey of building a society based on social justice
The Revenue Department staff also took the pledge and similarly the Social Justice Day Pledge was also read by officials in all Government offices.
