Long-standing enmity on usage of path leads to bitter quarrel that left one of the farmers seriously injured.
Coimbatore: Thangavel (76), a farmer hailing from Elangovan Road in Bhagavathi Palayam area, Kinathukadavu was beaten up by Chinnadurai of the same area due to prior enmity.
Thangavel reportedly went to his farm land through a path that led through Chinnadurai's land. Chinnadurai had warned him against trespassing which was a long-standing conflict between the two.
Chinnadurai and Thangavel had several serious exchange of words that ended up in a duel in which Thangavel was seriously injured.He is presently under treatment at the Pollachi Government Hospital. Thangavel has lodged a complaint with the Kinathukadavu police station. The Kinathukadavu police have registered a case and interrogating Chinnadurai.
