Coimbatore: Two charged under Goondas Act on the orders of Coimbatore City Commissioner Deepak Damore yesterday evening. Four persons, including Panneer Selvam, 55, of Alangudi, Pudukottai, were contacted last October, 2020, alleging that they had arranged a loan for Dr. Madheswaran, the head of the Coimbatore Royal Care Hospital.
Panneer Selvam, 55, and Selvakumar, 54, who were hiding in Chennai, were arrested and remanded in custody by the Coimbatore City Crime Branch, Special Police on the 15th. City Police Commissioner Deepak Damore yesterday ordered that the two be remanded in custody under the GoondasAct as there are various cases against them. A copy of the order was issued to both inmates.
