MNM's Pollachi State Vice President, Thangavel detailed that the committees headed by state and district administrators have been appointed for the local government elections in 9 districts.
Coimbatore: Makkal Needhi Maiam's District South East Head Office was opened at Pollachi Mahalingapuram. Thangavel, the party's State Vice-President opened the office and distributed relief items which included rice and pulses to the poor.
'The transformed Makkal Needhi Maiam is currently functioning well. Committees headed by state and district administrators have been appointed for the local government elections in 9 districts and we are preparing for the elections. Although we did not go to the Assembly, the voice of opposition in Tamil Nadu is that of Makkal Needhi Maiam. The present Government of Tamil Nadu is implementing the plans that we have announced. Kamal Haasan has said that he was obliged to listen to the suggestions and thanked the DMK for guiding our projects. We will win a big victory in the local elections,' he added.
