Dredging works and construction of bus stand inspected by the officials.
Coimbatore: Pollachi MP K Shanmugasundaram inspected the development works in the South Zone of Coimbatore, on Monday. Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer, Raja Gopal Sunkara accompanied the MP and led the inspection.

The officials along with a team further inspected Karumbukadai region, ward 86 of Coimbatore and inspected the dredging works in the Rajavaikkal as well as the construction of the bus stand in Vellalore region. The bus terminal project is estimated to cost Rs. 168 crores spread across 61.62 acres.
The officials instructed the concerned officials and workers during the inspection to hasten the completion of the works. The biomining project ongoing in Vellalore sewage dump yard was also inspected and officials were directed to immediately clear the wastes dumped there.

Deputy Commissioner of Corporation K Vimalraj, Municipal Engineer A Lakshmanan, Executive Engineer Gnanavel, Assistant Commissioner of Southern Region Sundharajan, Assistant Executive Engineers Karuppuswamy and Saravanakumar, Assistant Engineer Ravikannan and Corporation officials were present during the inspection.
