Coimbatore: Special anointing and poojas were held for the Lord Vinayagar at the ancient Sri Subramaniya Swamy Temple premises in Valparai, Coimbatore today.
Installing idols in public places has been banned due to the Coronavirus. Due to this, the puja is held in the hall of the Sri Murugan temple complex with a five feet high idol of Vinayagar.

A small number of devotees attended and worshiped Vinayagar. Then the offering was given to all. Police are engaged in security work. Devotees are being advised to wear face masks on behalf of the temple administration and the police and to observe social distancing.
