7 arrested for selling ganja and alcohol in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: Police arrested seven men for selling ganja and liquor bottles in Coimbatore. The Singanallur police while patrolling on Tuesday evening arrested Vignesh Kumar (21) a resident of the same area who was selling ganja in the area. A kilo of ganja and cash were confiscated from him.
With TASMAC stores shut due to complete lockdown, bottles of liquor are being hoarded and sold illegally in Coimbatore. To prevent this, the police of the Prohibition Enforcement Division conducted raids at various places on Tuesday. Seven men were arrested for selling liquor illegally and over 200 bottles of liquor and cash were confiscated from them.
