Coimbatore: Ward Councillor Ambika Danapal led a comprehensive inspection of various areas in Ward No. 27 of the North Zone under Singanalur Assembly Constituency in Coimbatore Corporation today (13.08.2026) morning.

Ward Councillor Ambika Danapal personally visited the Anganwadi centre functioning on Peelamedu Avarampalayam Main Road. She thoroughly reviewed the children's attendance register and enquired about the centre's operational activities. The visit aimed to ensure proper functioning and care of children enrolled at the facility.

Subsequently, she inspected roadside garbage removal work in the Kalki Nagar area and instructed sanitation workers to carry out complete cleaning on a daily basis. She also ordered immediate and complete removal of tree waste lying on the roadside near Sai Baba Temple. The councillor emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness standards throughout the ward.

On Rangammal Koil Street, she verified whether the battery-operated auto that collects garbage daily was coming regularly. Residents were requested to segregate biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste separately before handing it over. This measure is expected to facilitate effective waste management in the area.

The inspection covered multiple aspects of civic amenities including anganwadi operations, street cleanliness, waste collection efficiency, and proper garbage disposal mechanisms. Ward Councillor Ambika Danapal's proactive approach demonstrates the corporation's commitment to maintaining hygiene and sanitation standards while ensuring proper functioning of essential services like anganwadi centres for children's welfare.
