Upilipalyam residents demand immediate repair of rusty electric pole to avoid casualties in the area

Coimbatore: Chandran, a resident of Church Street in Uppilipalayam next to Othakalmandapam near Pollachi Road in Coimbatore along with other residents in the locality had filed a complaint with the Electricity Board about a rusty electric pole that was not in working condition. Owing to this, over 25 houses in the area were suffering from disruption in electricity supply.

Due to the recent heavy rains, the pole was reportedly in a worse condition. Chandran and other residents complained that no action had been initiated thus far in spite of having notified the EB. They appealed to the officials to take immediate action before any casualty could occur owing to the rusty electric pole.
