Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian today (10.03.2021) conducted a research meet regards the solid waste management works near Corporation Auditorium in RS Puram, Coimbatore.
During the meeting Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian stated that "Sanitation workers who are collecting wastes door to door from houses in the 5 zones of Coimbatore should seperate the waste before giving it to the truck.

Also workers involved in collecting total waste must give the wastes seperately to the truck workers. Further, Zonal Supervisors, Sanitation workers must keep a watch on their respective areas and prevent waste being dumped at drainages. Incase of waste stuck at drainages, it must be removed immediately.
Mosquitoe repellents must be sprayed in areas which have stagnant water. Dengue mosquitoes breeding places must be identified and immediate steps should be taken to ensure clean surroundings.
Public dumping wastes on roadsides must be avoided ensuring a cleaner city."
Later he stated that "Wearing face masks has been made compulsory for all due to the pandemic. So public, workers and all officers must definitely continue to wear masks and must make it a regular habit to wash hands often while still maintaining social distancing.
I kindly request the public to cooperate with the administration officials and help us out an end to Covid-19."
