Coimbatore: DIG Narendra Nair inspects Pollachi West Police Station which is a nominee for best police station in Tamil Nadu award.
In order to encourage the police in Tamil Nadu, the Government of Tamil Nadu has decided to identify and award the best police station. Senior police officials are engaged in the task of surveying the best police stations in the west region.
As part of this, police officers including DIG Narendra Nair and Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police Arularasu inspected the West Police Station in Pollachi, Coimbatore District. DIG Narendran Nair said arrangements have been made on behalf of the Tamil Nadu government to present the award to the best police station.
He added that, work is underway to inspect the best performing police stations in the western region, including Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode and the Nilgiris. At the Pollachi West police station in Coimbatore district, the steps taken in connection with the cases at the police station and the documents related to the cases were examined and points will be awarded based on that. The list of the best police stations to be selected in the West Region will then be handed over to the West Zone IG's Office. Two of the best police stations will be selected and nominated for the award.
