Coimbatore: District Collector Rajamani today conducted an inspection at the Government Women's Polytechnic College where the EVM machines for Kavundampalayam constituency is stored.
With the state assembly elections to happen on April 6th, District Collector and District Election Officer Rajamani today (9.3.2021) conducted an inspection at the Government Women's Polytechnic College where the EVM machines for the Kavundampalayam Constituency is kept.
He then visited the polling station and the election booth to inspect the preparations made.
During the inspection Kavundampalayam Constituency Election Officer and Revenue Tahsildar Ravichandran, Social Security Planning Officer Murugesan, Tahsildar Mahesh and other Election Officers were present.
District Election Official Rajamani stated " According to guidelines mentioned by the India Election Commission the election works are undertaken effectively. To execute the election works more effectively, teams are divided into teams under Nodel Officers, District Revenue Officers and other senior officials.
EVM Machines for Kavundampalayam constituency is kept at the Government Women's Polytechnic College where it's guarded 24×7 by police officials. During the inspection, District Collector Rajamani ordered the officials to take more precautions." He said.
District Collector Rajamani today inspected the election booths at CMS Matriculation School in Coimbatore North Constituency, Ilango Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Kavundampalayam Constituency, Corporation School in Shajahan Nagar and checked for basic amenities and facilities for people challenged people to come and vote.
"Our goal is to achieve 100% votes filed in Coimbatore and as our part to increase the awareness among kids short films, PSA screenings, banners and posters are placed across the city." Said District Collector Rajamani.
He then visited the model election event that took place today at Cross Cut Road and in Saravanampatti areas in Coimbatore.
