Officials of the EC Flying Squadron seize undocumented cash of rupees Rs 5.56 lakhs in Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: Flying Squad members on behalf of the District Election Commission in Coimbatore, were involved in inspecting vehicles on Thadagam Road near GCT College which comes under the Coimbatore North Constituency.
During the checks, flying squad officials stopped Karthikeyan who was driving his bike towards Coimbatore. At the end of the search by officials, Flying Squadron members found ₹5,56,630 rupees cash without any proof.
Post this incident, the flying squad officials seized the money and surrendered them to Coimbatore North Constituency Election Officer Murugesan.
