It is customary for college graduates to join the NCC from the first year onwards and receive a variety of military and probationary training. They will also be given a variety of police and military training. They are eligible for B certificate when studying in the second year.
Subsequently, the C certificate will be issued on behalf of the NCC during the third year of study. They will be given various trainings for it Including attending the 10 day battalion and camp training. Trainings such as March Fast, Rescue People in the event of a natural disaster and training to shoot.
In this context, a gun shooting exercise was held in Coimbatore today. The students participated and demonstrated their skills by firing B-certified guns. It was amazing to see them demonstrate their skills in shooting.
653 students took part in the 'B' Certificate Examination for NCC students in Coimbatore.
The 'B' Certificate Examination for National Student Corps students was held at a private college ground in Peelamedu, Coimbatore. Participants from 3 districts including Nilgiris, Tirupur and Coimbatore participated in the two-day examination. Commander Colonel JBS Chauhan inaugurated the examination for college level students in the National Student Corps on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Battalion.
These included team walking, National Student Corps organization, map training, distance calculation, ground training, sniper manipulation and martial arts. In total, 653 NCC students participated in the exam. Separate examinations were held for the Indian Army and the Indian Navy. The audience was amazed when the young students were trained to handle guns during this exam.
