Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police Arularasu, today inspected these newly installed surveillance cameras in Kinathukadavu, Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: Kinathukadavu police station near Pollachi is equipped with state-of-the-art surveillance cameras at a distance of 8 km to prevent crime in the area and to help track down criminals in the neighbouring areas.

Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police Arularasu, today inspected these newly installed surveillance cameras in Kinathukadavu, Coimbatore.
He then met with the media and public and stated “Areas within the limits of Kinathukadavu police station are now equipped with 10 new surveillance cameras which run by using and saving solar power. Since the CCTV cameras can cover till 8 km from the Pollachi - Coimbatore road, the camera installation would help prevent crime, detect culprits and prevent accidents in the area."
He also asked the public to install more surveillance cameras in their residences. Superintendent of Police Arularasu also said that for every 5 crimes committed 1 is being solved with the help of surveillance camera footage.

Perur DSP Srinivasalu and other police officials took part in the inspection along with Coimbatore SP Arularasu.
