Around 150 women have donated their hair now. The wig giving event is scheduled to happen on March 14th in Kaniyampoondi, Tirupur.
Tirupur: On behalf of the Women's Day on March 8th,women cancer patients in Tirupur who lost their hair were given artificial hair which was made from hair donated by women volunteers.

This event was organised by Indian Medical Association which took place at Adhar Hospital near Pushpa Bus Stand, Tirupur
During the event IMA Dr Senthil Kumar stated that "As part of the Tirupur Branch of Indian Medical Association, we decided to celebrate women's day to create an awareness among women regarding cancer in women and to provide hair wigs to women who lost their hair during chemo treatment as a way of bringing back their confidence.

We are trying to wire Breast Cancer and uterus Cancer by screening tests." He said.
Doctors, Volunteers and the general public took part in this event.
