Authorities have now brought the two corrupt officials under investigation and are further investigating about the bribery case.
Coimbatore: Karthik belongs to Pannimadai area in Coimbatore. He has requested the Pannimadai Village Officials to grant him patta change for the land he owns.
The Pannimadai Village Administration Official Sivakumar has requested rupees 10,000 bribe to sign the papers. Due to this incident, Karthik filed a complaint with the District Vigilance and Anti Corruption Officials.
Based on the complaint filed by Karthik, Vigilance Department Officials gave rupees 7,000 marked notes to Karthik. When Karthik took the marked notes and give it to VAO Sivakumar, Vigilance and Anti-corruption Department Officials caught the authority red handed.
The Vigilance and Anti-corruption Department Officials also arrested another official Palanisamy who has links to this case. He was a retired Assistant Village Administration Official.
