District Collector Rajamani has been appointed as the District Election Officer for Coimbatore.

Tamilnadu is facing the state assembly elections on April 6th 2021. Post this election officers for every district have been appointed. As a part of that Coimbatore District Collector Rajamani was appointed as the District Election Officer.
Election officials have expedited the set-up required for the polls. Around 4,467 election booths have been set-up across the 10 assembly constituencies in Coimbatore. Election Commission has around 21,500 government officials involved in the election duty in Coimbatore district. Meanwhile, 7,414 EVM's are kept ready to be used in Coimbatore.
Our source from the District Election Department in Coimbatore stated that " 5,523 maintenance machines, 7,414 Electronic Voting Machines, 5,912 VVPAT machines are kept ready to be used on the polling day." He said.
