We have sent a letter to contest in 5 constituencies in alliance with AIADMK: Hindu Makkal Katchi leader Arjun Sampath

Coimbatore: Hindu Makkal Katchi leader Arjun Sampath said that they have sent a letter to contest in 5 constituencies in alliance with AIADMK. Petitions are being received all over Tamil Nadu from those who want to contest the assembly elections on behalf of the Hindu Makkal Katchi. As a part of this, a petition was received from those who wanted to contest in Pollachi and today, 8 people in areas including Coimbatore and Tirupur submitted their petitions to Arjun Sampath. A consultative meeting was then held with the participation of party executives. Following this, Arjun Sampath told reporters that the Hindu Makkal Katchi is contesting in 234 constituencies, emphasizing spiritual political principles, the Hindu vote bank and Hindu unity as they are ready for coalition. He said they have sent a letter asking for 5 constituencies to form an alliance with the AIADMK and insisted that the Hindu Makkal Katchi should be given the same opportunity as the Islamic organizations to contest.

The public has been demanding for years that Pollachi be declared a separate district and that coalition talks be held with the BJP. AIADMK and DMK should include this demand in their election manifestos. Both parties are interested in forming alliances with Islamic, Christian and caste organizations. The DMK, which claims to be a secular party, has called the Muslim League party first in the coalition talks and made reservations. He said giving a chance to those with criminal backgrounds was an act of disrupting religious harmony.
