Post this incident District SP Disha Mittal ordered 7 special teams to investigate the case.
Tirupur: A bank branch of the Bank of Baroda was operating in the Koolipalayam four-lane area on the Tirupur-Uthukuli. The bank had an ATM machine in it at the front. Early Sunday morning a group of robbers tied the ATM machine to their vehicle and snatched the machine away.
After this incident District SP Disha Mittal ordered 7 special teams to investigate the case. During the investigation police officials found parts of the ATM machine on the Erode National Highways.
Proceeding with the investigation the cops arrested a group of people Rahul, Rafiq, Shahid, Shahid, Irshad and Qasim Khan from Haryana District. Police officials confiscated
welding machine, gas cylinder, oxygen cylinder, gas cutter, rod, screw diver, cutting blade, spanner, nylon belt, painting spray and container in an eicher lorry.
Further during the investigation the group confessed about stealing A TATA SUMO car from Balasubramni in Nallikavundampalayam and using it for various other robbery activities. The gang also confessed about taking the ATM machine in the sumo car and later transferring it into the eicher truck.
