Dense fog experienced in Pollachi

Pollachi in recent years hasn't been receiving enough rain nor the usual amount of fog in the months of November and December.

Coimbatore: Pollachi is also known as the coconut city of Tamilnadu. Since it is located at base of the western ghats, Pollachi is home to some beautiful spots which make people from everywhere to come visit the beauty of it.

Pollachi in recent years hasn't been receiving enough rain or the usual amount of fog in the months of November and December.

However this year due to the abundant showers during the southwest and the northeast monsoon seasons the Pollachi Forest Zone looks evergreen.

This has also increased the fog level in the areas of Pollachi, Aliyar and Anamalai. Roads like Pollachi - Coimbatore and Pollachi-Valparai are covered with heavy fog till 8 in the morning.

This phenomenon makes it difficult to drive and decreases the visibility level of other vehicles. This has made the drivers to turn on their heavy beam lights throughout their journey.

However people and tourists are rejoicing over the fog and are happy enjoying the perfect temperature.
