Four old women decided to burn themselves to death infront of the District Collector office.
Coimbatore: Murugammal (97) wife of Palanisamy belongs to the Kuppanur village, Annur.
The couple's son Rangaswamy who is involved in agriculture had requested Murugammal to transfer 25 cents of land to his name's for electricity card name change purposes. During this time Rangaswamy changed all the 13 acre land to her name.
Murugammal lost her son 10 months ago asked her daughter in law for the return of documents. Since the daughter in law refused to return the documents, complained at the Collectorate along with her sister Marathall, Lakshmi and Pappathi.

The four women who visited the District Collectorate office today as a part of the grevience day and tried to burn themselves to death with kerosene.

The police officials who were present there saved the lives of those women by pouring water on them.
Meanwhile Annur Thasildar Chandra who visited the district collectorate promised the women that due actions will be taken regarding their complaint. This shocking incident created panic in that area.
