Argument among AIADMK and DMK members at Grama Sabha meeting held in TVS Nagar

DMK party members managed to conduct the grama sabha meeting in TVS Nagar after being denied permission for the meeting.


Coimbatore: DMK party members have been working across the state meeting people of different villages and towns ahead of the upcoming assembly elections.

Grama Sabha meetings organised by the DMK party have received popularity among the public recently. But there have been continuous denials when permission is being asked by DMK party members to organize grama sabha meetings.

Tamilselvan, DMK secretary organized the 6th zone grama sabha meeting that was conducted yesterday at TVS Nagar even after the permission for it was denied.

Over 200 people along with DMK members participated in the grama sabha meeting held at TVS Nagar which focused on creating an awareness among the public about the ruling of AIADMK. The grama sabha meeting also had a signature signing event which gathered support for the removal ofcurrent AIADMK government.

The DMK members were agitated that police were denying permission for them continuously but yet they have been defying the permissions and conducting grama sabha meetings.

Amidst this, AIADMK party members who entered the grama sabha meeting held at TVS Nagar, got involved in arguments about DMK's reasons to reject AIADMK's rule. This led to a violent argument between the two party members and the police arrested the DMK party members and removed them from the scene and later released them.

The AIADMK members at the scene said that they have come from Kavundampalayam.DMK members who were arrested in Kavundampalayam were released quickly and are now in present in the grama sabha held in TVS Nagar. AIADMK members questionedthen questioned the police authorities on the reason behind letting the arrested DMK members out quickly.

The grama sabha meeting held at TVS Nagar was attended by Tamilselvan - DMK 6th ward secretary, Karupalaniappan assistant secretary 6th ward, District representative Subramani, District organizing committee member Sundram, Thyagarajan, other DMK members and the public.
