Coimbatore: Three students from a private engineering college in Coimbatore were arrested after the video of them drunk and thrashing a hotel staff ecame viral across social media platforms.
Three Students from Ranganathar Engineering College in Narasipuram who were drunk went to a nearby hotel for having food.
At the hotel the 3 students ordered for an omlette and told the hotel staff that they need there fresh plantation leaves to split it among them. When the hotel employee refused to do that the drunk students started to verbally abuse the hotel employee. This verbal abuse reached the next level when one student started thrashing the hotel staff while one other recorded the incident on his phone.
Post this incident the hotel employee who got beaten up did not talk about this to anyone.
At the same time the students who were involved in this violent incident uploaded the video of the hotel staff getting beaten up with music in Instagram, Facebook, Whatsapp and YouTube. They even made memes outbbof thile video.
The hotel owner who saw this video which had the nameboard of the hotel enquired his employees about this incident and after finding out what happened he filed a complaint regarding this at Alandurai police station.
Alandurai police officials who checked the videos arrested Praveen (19), Vignesh (20) and Ramesh (20) for their I'll mannered and violent behaviour. It was also revealed that the students belonged to a right wing party.
