Ganja circulation has been on the rise recently in Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: Pothanur police officials who were patrolling near ESI colony on Pollachi road caught a man who was involved in selling drugs. Upon further investigation the man also had consumed drugs.
Later the police officials patrolled at the Pothanur Ganeshapuram area and arrested Haridas for processing around 1.250 grams of ganja with him.
In a similar incident police officials who were patrolling at the Nesavalar Colony, Singanallur arrested Sakthivel (51) from Muthupettai, Madurai for possessing around 2.750 kg marijuana. The police also seized 790 rupees worth ganja sales money from him.
In another incident police officials arrested Ravi Prasad (46) from Upilipalayam for selling ganja near Thimpampalayam bus stand, Karamadai. Police officials seized around 500 grams of ganja in this incident.
