Health department officials have announced that 3 cold storage rooms is now ready to store the Covid-19 vaccines that are yet to arrive in Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: Covid-19 virus have affected many people from across the nation. In this situation, the vaccination which helps prevent Covid-19 is said to arrive in India soon.
Frontline health workers doctors and nurses from both government and private hospitals, Police and sanitization workers are to be vaccinated initially. Vaccination is then to be given to people above 60 years old and others who are vulnerable to the virus!
Vaccination is planned to be given to 20% of the people from the district initially. 3 Cold storage buildings are kept ready for the vaccines in Coimbatore
Assistant Director to the Department of Healthcare head Rameshkumar said that the vaccines will be bought to Coimbatore from Chennai and will be distributed from thereto districts like Nilgiris, Tirupur, Erode etc. He also said that only 2 cold storage units were previously available. A new cold storage unit has been built recently to effectively distribute the vaccine.
