The Nilgiris: Police officials have intensified the search for an 8 year old girl who has been missing for two days near Kollakambai, Coonoor. The missing girl is the daughter of Lakshman Ram an migrant tea estate worker from Jharkhand.
The police search which went on for around 10 hours yesterday resulted in bringing a 16 year old boy from Jharkhand for investigation.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Suresh and Inspector of Police Philip are investing the youth.
During the investigation the youngster said to have dropped the girl near the forest area or near a waterbody and has not been making any statement which can actually contribute to the search.
Since there is no evidence of the missing girl, the police search has been intensified. This incident has caused panic in the Kolakkombai locality.
