He was engaged recently to be married. So he took casual leave to go to Dharmapuri. He then went on medical leave on the 17th December.
Yesterday while he was in Dharmapuri the father of the engaged bride had an accident and broke his leg. Following this, policeman Rajasekaran Salem took him by ambulance from Dharmapuri.
Rajasekaran was sitting in the gate of the hospital during the early hours of the night in the Salem private hospital. Then a car traveling on the road collided with Rajasekaran.
Rajasekar was critically injured in the head and died on the spot. Salem police have registered a case and seized his body and are investigating. The incident has caused great grief among the Karumathampatti police. Salem police have registered a case and are investigating.
