Ajithkumar (age 25) hails from Thiruvalluvar Nagar near Coimbatore. He was traveling with his friend Prabhu (age 27) on a motorcycle on Thadagam Road. A motorcycle collided with Rajan, a resident of Kanuvai Kamaraj Nagar, who was walking along the Nursery Garden bus stop. Two of them were thrown out of the vehicle and were seriously injured and fought for their lives.
Seeing this, the neighbors sent him to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for treatment. Covid-19 examination was performed on both men before treatment there. The COVID-19 infection was confirmed for the rider of the motorcycle. Doctors rushed him to Salem Government Hospital for treatment. There he was admitted to the intensive care unit and is receiving treatment.
