Assistant Professor killed as Tipper lorry collided with his two-wheeler in Valparai
Coimbatore: An Assistant Professor was killed as Tipper lorry collided with his two-wheeler in Valparai. Ravi is a mechanic from a Vazhaithottam area in Valparai, Coimbatore district.
His son, Abhinesh (24) is working as an Assistant Professor in a private college in Pollachi. Today he was going to Pollachi in a two wheeler from Valparai.
As he was crossing the Valparai Pazhayakadu area on Pollachi Road, he was hit by a tipper lorry carrying gravel from Pollachi to Valparai.
Abhinesh was seriously injured when he was thrown from his two-wheeler and died on the spot. Upon information Kadamparai Police Sub-Inspector Ramachandran, Chief Constable Muruga Babu, Navaneethakrishnan went to the scene and conducted an investigation.
Karthikeyan, the driver, who was driving the tipper lorry was arrested. Police seized Abhinesh's body and sent it to Valparai Government Hospital for autopsy. A case has been registered and is being investigated. The incident has saddened everyone in the area
