The protest was held in front of the Coimbatore South Taluk Office on behalf of the TASMAC Associations Joint Committee.

Slogans were raised urging the TASMAC management and the Tamil Nadu government to implement these demands immediately.
After this, in an interview to the press, Murthy, the chairman of the Joint Committee, said that the Tamil Nadu government had announced a 10% bonus without consulting the unions. The protestors said they will not accept this and will have to pay 40% percent and festival advance of Rs. 10,000. He said the festival advance could be deducted Rs. 1,000 a month. He added that TASMAC employees had been working full-time during the Coronavirus epidemic to generate revenue for the government.
He also urged the management of TASMAC to intervene and find solutions to problems. He said the maximum salary of TASMAC employees is Rs. 15,000 and those who had been working for more than 15 years have not been made government employees yet. He also asked the management of TASMAC and the Tamil Nadu government to take appropriate action.
