He visited the newly constructed Flower Market on Mettupalayam Road at a cost of Rs. 95 lakhs. He directed the concerned officials to complete the remaining tasks on time.
Following this, he visited and inspected the reconstruction work of the old Flower Market.
Also, he visited the Amma Unavagam in the area and inspected the quality of the food there by tasting it.
Later, he inspected the centre that generates electricity through biogas obtained from food and vegetable waste near Bharathi Park in the West Zone and the production of microbial compost with the biodegradable waste there.
West Zone Assistant Commissioner AJ Senthil Arasan, Executive Engineer (Smart City) Saravanakumar, Assistant Engineer Kamalakkannan, Zonal Health Officer Gunasekaran and Corporation officials were present during the inspection.
