COVID 19: TN posts 2,413 recoveries to 2,348 new cases

Coimbatore: Continuing to register a dip in new infections, Tamil Nadu on Thursday recorded 2,348 fresh COVID-19 cases and 28 more deaths, pushing the overall case tally to 7,36,777 and toll to 11,272.


Coimbatore: Continuing to register a dip in new infections, Tamil Nadu on Thursday recorded 2,348 fresh COVID-19 cases and 28 more deaths, pushing the overall case tally to 7,36,777 and toll to 11,272.

Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 2,413 patients getting cured aggregating to 7,06,444 till date, the State health department bulletin said.

Active cases were at 19,154.

Among districts, Chennai led with 621 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 238 cases and Thiruvallur 148.

Testing of samples stood at 80,192 today, totalling to 1,03,25,440 getting examined till date.
