These cameras are made with special technology that capture videos up to a distance 100 meters. If a rider on a motorcycle, breaks the rules of the road or does not wear a helmet or a face mask, they will be immediately photographed. Then FIR, receipt, and penalty for the offence would be sent to the address of the vehicle owner.
A woman who was riding without a helmet and flouting traffic rules was captured by one such camera today and she was penalized.
Traffic police said that the captured images will be sent to the control room. From there the violators would be traced immediately and booked by the Regional Transportation Office and the amount of fine imposed on them by the government under the Vehicle Act and the fine details will be sent directly home and the fines will be collected from them. Therefore, people should respect traffic rules and wear helmets, face masks, etc.
