The Tamil Nadu government announced a few days ago that schools and colleges will be opened in Tamil Nadu on November 16.
It has been reported that as arrangements were being made for the reopening of schools and colleges, yesterday the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Edappadi Palanisamy, consulted with the top officials of the Education Department and asked them whether they could postpone the reopening of schools in view of the coronavirus and monsoon rains.
It is deemed that the announcement that will be withdrawn and the opening of schools and colleges may be postponed. However, it is to be noted that this will be confirmed only after receiving a formal notification from the Government of Tamil Nadu.
