Coimbatore: The Corporation Commissioner flagged off the launch of Vigilance Awareness Week Rally at Coimbatore Corporation Campus.
The Vigilance Awareness Week is observed every year from 27th October to 2nd November by the Anti-Corruption and Surveillance Department. Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed following the instructions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Following this, the Vigilance Awareness Week Rally was flagged off today at the Corporation premises by the Corporation Commissioner and the Special Officer P. Kumaravel Pandian.
During the rally, the corporation officials carried banners with various slogans such as "Do not take bribes, get used to living comfortably, abide by honesty and swear allegiance to those who have lost the influence of the public, to eradicate bribery" and "Honesty is the way of our life".
The rally was held from the corporation office to the district collector's office.
More than 200 corporation officers attended.
Deputy Commissioner of the Corporation S. Madhuranthagi, Vigilance Inspectors Parimala Devi, Ezhilarasi and Sasilekha were present at the inauguration of the rally.
