Coimbatore: All Soul's Day, which falls today, was observed yesterday in Coimbatore due to COVID-19.

All Soul's Day is observed annually on November 2nd. It is observed every year in honour of deceased souls. It is customary for relatives of the deceased to go to the graves and pray on this day.

In this case, most people observed All Soul's Day yesterday because of COVID-19. Churches have instructed their members to not crowd the cemeteries in order to avoid COVID-19 infections.

In this situation, those who came to pray at the CSI Cemetery on Trichy Road were allowed in one by one to avoid congestion.

On the occasion of All Soul's day, people washed the tombs of their loved ones, decorated them with flowers, lit candles, prayed quietly and sang Christian prayer songs.
