Vehicle ownership scam case handled by Pollachi East Police transferred to District Crime Branch per order of Coimbatore District SP

Coimbatore: Case related to Crime No. 1177/2020 S/P 409, 468, 469, 471,420 handled hitherto at Pollachi East Police Station has been transferred to District Crime Branch (DCB) per the order of the Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police.

The case was lodged by Pollachi Regional Officer (RTO) Muruganantham. In it, Angulingam is accused of having surrendered documents of four-wheelers from various vehicle owners, transferred their ownership to another name, and made payments to the financier, without the consent of the vehicle owners, by using the computer passwords of 9 employees of the Regional Transport Office. He transferred the ownership of several vehicles to his, his wife Indumathi's and his brother Karthikeyan's names and obtained new RC Books (SMART CARD) for those vehicles.

On the advice of the Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police and the direction of District Crime Branch DSP, a team of Crime Branch sleuths led by Inspector Yamunadevi Police arrested the accused Angulingam at Nallur bus stand in Tirupur district today sent him to judicial custody.
