COVID 19:New cases in Tamil Nadu on steady decline! 3,924 recoveries to 2,608 new cases

Coimbatore: Continuing to register a dip in new infections, Tamil Nadu on Friday recorded 2,608 fresh COVID-19 cases and 38 more deaths, pushing the tally to 7,22,011 and toll to 11,091.


Coimbatore: Continuing to register a dip in new infections, Tamil Nadu on Friday recorded 2,608 fresh COVID-19 cases and 38 more deaths, pushing the tally to 7,22,011 and toll to 11,091.

Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 3,924 patients getting cured aggregating to 6,87,388 till date, the State health department bulletin said.

Active cases were at 23,532.

The state has reported less than 3,000 fresh infections for the seventh successive day today.

Among districts, Chennai led with 723 new cases today, followed by Coimbatore 228, 146, Chengalpattu 158, Thiruvallur 149 and Tirupur 145.

Ramanathapuram and Tenkasi recorded the least with two positives apiece.

Testing of samples stood at 77,356 today, totalling to 98,85,443 getting examined till date.
