Vikas (27) lives in Velankanni Nagar area near Muthunagar at Sundarapuram in Coimbatore. He is working as a sales representative in a pharmaceutical company in Saibaba Colony. His pregnant wife had gone to her hometown of Kangayam for the delivery of their child.
In this case, Vikas went to Kangayam to see his wife on October 24 and went straight to work from there. Meanwhile, nearby residents reported that the front door of his house was open this afternoon. Following this, he was shocked to find that the front door of the house had been broken into when he visited the house, and when he went inside, it was revealed that 43 sovereigns of gold and a laptop kept in a bureau had been stolen.
Following this, the crime branch police have registered a case based on the complaint that Vikas lodged at the Podanur police station and are searching for the culprits involved in the robbery.
The robbery, which took place in a residential area, has caused fear among the people in the area.
