Udhayanidhi Stalin slams Minister SP Velumani and AIADMK in Coimbatore; condemns for filing cases against DMK cadres in poster issue

Coimbatore: Udhayanidhi Stalin slams Minister SP Velumani and AIADMK in Coimbatore; condemns Minister for cowardly indulging in putting up posters



Coimbatore: In a massive protest against the recent poster issue, DMK cadres led by party's youth wing secretary, Udhayanidhi Stalin allegations were raised against Minister SP Velumani and the ruling AIADMK government. Ahead of the meet, commotion prevailed as the Police denied permission, at the last minute for holding protest.

Recently, posters mocking DMK Chief MK Stalin and General Secretary, Durai Murugan were seen at multiple places in the city which were later torn by DMK Cadres. Cases were even filed on DMK cadres ar Kuniamuthur station for protesting on the issue.



Condemning the act and calling it as an act of cowardice by Minister SP Velumani, Udhayanidhi Stalin addressing hundreds of DMK cadres "This meet is not just about the posters. Minister Velumani doesn't have guts to put up a poster even with his name on it. DMK can make better posters. Next time, we will not be tearing the posters but be putting better ones over them."

He added that the police when sought permission for protest in Kuniyamuthur they refused and accorded permission to hold protest in front of South Tahsildhar Office. However, this morning they denied permission and triggered unneccessary chaos. Udhayanidhi Stalin also informed that he was aware of a possible arrest. "DMK is not an organisation scared of arrests"he, he added.



Lambasting against the allegations of corruption by Municipal administration Minister SP Velumani, the youth wing secretary said that his corruption seem to have ascended to new heights. And, people will teach him a lesson, this elections.

Udhayanidhi Stalin accused that a puppet government is ruining the state of Tamil Nadu with SP Velumani acting as the shadow Chief Minister.

The DMK Youth Wing Secretary reminded of the posters stuck by Minister SP Velumani's aides in Coimbatore claiming that the Minister has battled and won the pandemic, several months ago. Mocking those posters, he called it insane and said coronavirus infections actually increased multifold only after those self praising posters in Coimbatore.



He also compared the ruling AIADMK regime as worse than the Coronavirus pandemic itself. He also accused of large scale corruptions from bleaching powder to masks and alleged that Minister SP Velumani has formed seven organizations, such as KCB, Aalayam Trust and routed all Corporation tenders to his companies and looted several crores.

He pointed that Rs. 1300 worth of LED bulb are brought for Rs. 6000 and there is enough evidence to prove all his corruptions, he added. He also said that once the government changes, all corrupt Ministers will be behind the bars.

It was CM Edappadi's government that allowed the NEET examination in Tamil Nadu and only 8 government school students were able to crack the examination, he pointed. He also asked ridiculed by asking the CM to obtain 7.5% reservation by crawling to Raj Bhavan like how he fell at Sasikala's feet.

DMK Youth Secretary Udayanithi Stalin said the his party would protest in front of the Kuniyamuthur police station, if no action is initiated against the perpetrators who stuck those posters ridiculing key executives of DMK.



MLA N Karthik, hundreds of DMK cadres, District executives took part in the protest.



The protest which was originally planned to be conducted by maintaining social distancing ended up with people clinging to each other in close quarters due to the problems associated with the permissions by the police.
