Tirupur: Sanitary workers protest in front of Tirupur Corporation office demanding payment of salary arrears and Diwali bonus.

Sanitary workers working in the 4 zones under Tirupur Corporation have not been paid for the last two months. They accused the corporation of refusing to pay the minimum wage of Rs. 510 fixed by the District Collector to the sanitary workers.

They demanded that the corporation should immediately pay the salary fixed by the District Collector.

A protest was held on behalf of the CITU Rural Development and Internal Affairs Employees Union in front of the Tirupur Corporation office, demanding immediate payment salary arrears and bonus as Diwali festival is around the corner.
