Coimbatore: Fit Health Worker Campaign - 2020: 1257 health care workers subjected to screening of common non-communicable diseases at Coimbatore government hospital.
Coimbatore: Under the guidance of Mission Director, National Health Mission, Tamil Nadu, Fit Health Worker Campaign - 2020 was organised atCoimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH). The camp was inaugurated by CMCH Dean Dr P. Kalidas.

The campaign aims to screen all health care workers in Public Health System at the hospital and college for all common non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and cancers of oral cavity, breast and cervix. This screening was done for all health care workers including doctors, staff nurses, administrative staff, nursing students, lab technicians, DMLT students, pharmacy students, FNAs, MNAs, sanitary workers, and outsourcing staff.
The entire screening program was coordinated by CMCH Dean Dr.Kalidas and NCD Nodal Officer Dr.R. Shanmugha Vadivu along with the staff and postgraduates of the Department of Physiology and NCD staff.
The camp concluded on October 23 2020 and a total of 1257 health care workers were subjected to screening.
