The old Tank was brought from Pune to Coonoor Wellington Army Camp via Gudalur in the Nilgiris District in a huge truck. The tank was used in the wars between India and China and Pakistan in the 60s and 70s. The tank which weighed about 35 tonnes started its journey from Pune, Maharashtra, 14 days ago and was brought to the military camp near the Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw Memorial tonight.
There were various difficulties while transporting the tank on hill roads.

It reached the Coonoor Army Camp after 14 days and nights of struggle and was lowered down to a platform after a 3-hour struggle by the soldiers and workers.
