Coimbatore: Vigilance officials confiscated unaccounted cash of Rs. 91,000 at the KG Chavadi check post.
The Coimbatore-Kerala National Highway has a check post at the KG Chavadi area in Tamil Nadu. Vehicles going from Tamil Nadu to the State of Kerala and vice versa are allowed to do so only after a thorough scrutiny of documents.
At around 5 this morning, Vigilance Department DSP Ganesh, Inspector Arumugam and Investigating Officer Durai conducted a search at KG Chavadi check post and found an unaccounted amount of Rs. 91,000.
The Vigilance Department has registered a case against Vehicle Inspector Saroja, Assistant Inspector Arul, Assistant Kannan and accompolice Saravanan.
