2000 people employed Coimbatore Corporation to detect people with symptoms like cold and fever

In order to control the spread of coronavirus in the areas of Coimbatore Corporation, door-to-door inspection for the presence of coronavirus symptoms like cold and flu is being carried out actively.


Coimbatore: In order to control the spread of coronavirus in the areas of Coimbatore Corporation, door-to-door inspection for the presence of coronavirus symptoms like cold and flu is being carried out actively.

Corporation officials said 2,000 people have been employed for the purpose.

Various preventive measures are being taken by the corporation and the district administration to control the spread of COVID-19s. As part of this, daily medical camps are conducted at more than 100 locations in areas within Corporation limits. In addition, the health department, in conjunction with the corporation, has intensified efforts to visit houses to detect persons with COVID symptoms. Over 2,000 employees are involved in this work.

Corporation officials said, "There are 5,731 roads in Coimbatore. Door-to-door inspections have been started on the coronavirus-affected streets. About 2000 are involved in this field work. One inspects more than 50 homes a day. This will make it easier to diagnose COVID infections."
