Coimbatore: Anaiththu Samuthaya Iyakkangal Kootamaippu demanded for 50% reservation in medical seats for OBC students and protested in front of the Coimbatore South Taluk Office.

They alleged that OBCs, who make up 70% of the population, have not been given even 1% opportunity in the state and not even one of the foreign ambassadors, secretaries of state, and even 10% of other government jobs, and have been given only 3% of the opportunities in medical seats.

Protestors demanded that immediate action should be taken to implement the 50% OBC reservation in the medical seats.
