Coimbatore: In two separate incidents two people were killed in road accidents on Friday, here. In the 38 days of lockdown, this is the first time two fatalities have been reported in a day.
Ravikumar of Vaaradhayangar Palayam, Saravanampatti was out on his two wheeler along with his mother Santha. Unfortunately, he met with an accident near the Moor Market on Sakthi road. He reportedly collided with a TATA ACE goods vehicle and sustained grievous head injuries.
Ravikumar was declared brought dead at the hospital. While, his mother is being treated at Coimbatore Medical College hospital here for her injuries.
In another incident Ismail of Kuniyamuthur area was injured after his two wheeler collided with a bullock cart near the Kanjikonampalayam Pirivu on the Salem- Cochin Bypass road.
He was taken to the hospital on a 108 ambulance. Sadly, he passed away at Coimbatore GH.
